THE TALE OF THE UNKNOWN VALLEY

MOISES BOFF

The Tale of the Unknown Valley is composed of a short film (3:49) and four photographs (70 x 50 centimetres). The artwork presents a mysterious figure journey across a surreal winter landscape.

Living is a narrative act. We make sense of our existence by telling stories to others and to ourselves. Narratives have always inspired me and they have guided me in my studies and art practice. Confronting our minds with stories that draw on the possibility of impossible scenarios seems to me like a solid path to interpret our reality. Eventually, this approach led me to question the very nature of our existence and the significance of humans through time and space. My work seeks to explore this relevance by creating narratives that delve into the richness and emptiness of our kind.
